perl-5.16.3-266.fc19.x86_64
Perl is a high-level programming language with roots in C, sed, awk and shell
scripting. Perl is good at handling processes and files, and is especially
good at handling text. Perl's hallmarks are practicality and efficiency.
While it is used to do a lot of different things, Perl's most common
applications are system administration utilities and web programming. A large
proportion of the CGI scripts on the web are written in Perl. You need the
perl package installed on your system so that your system can handle Perl
scripts.
Install this package if you want to program in Perl or enable your system to
handle Perl scripts.

good at handling text. Perl's hallmarks are practicality and efficiency.
While it is used to do a lot of different things, Perl's most common
applications are system administration utilities and web programming.
This is a metapackage with all the Perl bits and core modules that can be
found in the upstream tarball from perl.org.
If you need only a specific feature, you can install a specific package
instead. E.g. to handle Perl scripts with /usr/bin/perl interpreter,
install perl-interpreter package. See perl-interpreter description for more
details on the Perl decomposition into packages.

perl-Algorithm-C3-0.08-3.lbn13.noarch
This module implements the C3 algorithm. Most of the uses I have for C3
revolve around class building and metamodels, but it could also be used for
things like dependency resolution as well since it tends to do such a nice
job of preserving local precendence orderings.

dependency hierarchies, where you have a set of items that rely on other
items in the set, and require actions on them as well.

perl-Algorithm-Diff-1.1902-9.lbn13.noarch
This is a module for computing the difference between two files, two
strings, or any other two lists of things. It uses an intelligent
algorithm similar to (or identical to) the one used by the Unix "diff"
program. It is guaranteed to find the *smallest possible* set of
differences.
