perl-Crypt-Primes-0.50-36.lbn25.noarch
This module implements Ueli Maurer's algorithm for generating large provable
primes and secure parameters for public-key cryptosystems. The generated primes
are almost uniformly distributed over the set of primes of the specified
bitsize and expected time for generation is less than the time required for
generating a pseudo-prime of the same size with Miller-Rabin tests. Detailed
description and running time analysis of the algorithm can be found in Maurer's
paper, "Fast Generation of Prime Numbers and Secure Public-Key Cryptographic
Parameters" (1994).

perl-Crypt-Random-1.52-2.lbn25.noarch
Crypt::Random is an interface module to the /dev/random device found on most
modern unix systems. It also interfaces with egd, a user space entropy
gathering daemon, available for systems where /dev/random (or similar) devices
are not available. When Math::Pari is installed, Crypt::Random can generate
random integers of arbitrary size of a given bitsize or in a specified
interval.

perl-Crypt-RC4-2.02-21.lbn25.noarch
A simple implementation of the RC4 algorithm, developed by RSA Security,
Inc. Here is the description from RSA's website:
RC4 is a stream cipher designed by Rivest for RSA Data Security (now RSA
Security). It is a variable key-size stream cipher with byte-oriented
operations. The algorithm is based on the use of a random permutation. Analysis
shows that the period of the cipher is overwhelmingly likely to be greater than
10100. Eight to sixteen machine operations are required per output byte, and
the cipher can be expected to run very quickly in software. Independent analysts
have scrutinized the algorithm and it is considered secure.
