libglade2-2.6.4-20.lbn25.x86_64: Libglade is a small library that allows a program to load its user interface from am XML description at runtime. Libglade uses the XML file format used by the GLADE user interface builder GLADE, so libglade acts as an alternative to GLADE's code generation approach. Libglade also provides a simple interface for connecting handlers to the various signals in the interface (on platforms where the gmodule library works correctly, it is possible to connect all the handlers with a single function call). Once the interface has been instantiated, libglade gives no overhead, so other than the short initial interface loading time, there is no performance tradeoff.

In addition, a set of abstract classes are provided to ease the implementation of new collections. Around that, the API provide means to retrieve read-only views, efficient sort algorithms, simple, bi-directional or index-based mutable iterators depending on the collection type. Libgee is written in Vala and can be used like any GObject-based C library. It's planned to provide bindings for further languages.

libffi-3.1-19.lbn25.x86_64: Compilers for high level languages generate code that follow certain conventions. These conventions are necessary, in part, for separate compilation to work. One such convention is the "calling convention". The calling convention is a set of assumptions made by the compiler about where function arguments will be found on entry to a function. A calling convention also specifies where the return value for a function is found. Some programs may not know at the time of compilation what arguments are to be passed to a function. For instance, an interpreter may be told at run-time about the number and types of arguments used to call a given function. `Libffi' can be used in such programs to provide a bridge from the interpreter program to compiled code. The `libffi' library provides a portable, high level programming interface to various calling conventions. This allows a programmer to call any function specified by a call interface description at run time. FFI stands for Foreign Function Interface. A foreign function interface is the popular name for the interface that allows code written in one language to call code written in another language. The `libffi' library really only provides the lowest, machine dependent layer of a fully featured foreign function interface. A layer must exist above `libffi' that handles type conversions for values passed between the two languages.

libexif-0.6.22-1.lbn25.x86_64: Most digital cameras produce EXIF files, which are JPEG files with extra tags that contain information about the image. The EXIF library allows you to parse an EXIF file and read the data from those tags.

libevent-2.1.8-5.lbn25.x86_64: The libevent API provides a mechanism to execute a callback function when a specific event occurs on a file descriptor or after a timeout has been reached. libevent is meant to replace the asynchronous event loop found in event driven network servers. An application just needs to call event_dispatch() and can then add or remove events dynamically without having to change the event loop.
