Since less doesn't have to read the entire input file before it starts, less starts up more quickly than text editors (for example, vi). You should install less because it is a basic utility for viewing text files, and you'll use it frequently.

lato-fonts-2.015-2.lbn25.noarch: Lato is a sanserif typeface family designed in the Summer 2010 by Warsaw-based designer Łukasz Dziedzic ("Lato" means "Summer" in Polish). In December 2010 the Lato family was published under the open-source Open Font License by his foundry tyPoland, with support from Google. When working on Lato, Łukasz tried to carefully balance some potentially conflicting priorities. He wanted to create a typeface that would seem quite "transparent" when used in body text but would display some original treats when used in larger sizes. He used classical proportions (particularly visible in the uppercase) to give the letterforms familiar harmony and elegance. At the same time, he created a sleek sanserif look, which makes evident the fact that Lato was designed in 2010 - even though it does not follow any current trend. The semi-rounded details of the letters give Lato a feeling of warmth, while the strong structure provides stability and seriousness. "Male and female, serious but friendly. With the feeling of the Summer," says Łukasz. Lato consists of nine weights (plus corresponding italics), including a beautiful hairline style. It covers 2300+ glyphs per style and supports 100+ Latin-based languages, 50+ Cyrillic-based languages as well as Greek and IPA phonetics.

latex2html-2012-7.fc24.noarch: LATEX2HTML is a converter written in Perl that converts LATEX documents to HTML. This way e.g. scientific papers - primarily typeset for printing - can be put on the Web for online viewing. LATEX2HTML does also a good job in rapid web site deployment. These pages are generated from a single LATEX source.

lasi-1.1.2-6.fc24.x86_64: LASi is a library written by Larry Siden that provides a C++ stream output interface ( with operator << ) for creating Postscript documents that can contain characters from any of the scripts and symbol blocks supported in Unicode and by Owen Taylor's Pango layout engine. The library accommodates right-to-left scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew as easily as left-to-right scripts. Indic and Indic-derived Complex Text Layout (CTL) scripts, such as Devanagari, Thai, Lao, and Tibetan are supported to the extent provided by Pango and by the OpenType fonts installed on your system. All of this is provided without need for any special configuration or layout calculation on the programmer's part. Although the capability to produce Unicode-based multilingual Postscript documents exists in large Open Source application framework libraries such as GTK+, QT, and KDE, LASi was designed for projects which require the ability to produce Postscript independent of any one application framework.

lash-0.5.4-25.fc25.x86_64: LASH is a session management system for JACK and ALSA audio applications on GNU/Linux. It allows you to save and restore audio sessions consisting of multiple interconneced applications, restoring program state (i.e. loaded patches) and the connections between them.

lapack-3.10.0-3.lbn25.x86_64: LAPACK (Linear Algebra PACKage) is a standard library for numerical linear algebra. LAPACK provides routines for solving systems of simultaneous linear equations, least-squares solutions of linear systems of equations, eigenvalue problems, and singular value problems. Associated matrix factorizations (LU, Cholesky, QR, SVD, Schur, and generalized Schur) and related computations (i.e., reordering of Schur factorizations and estimating condition numbers) are also included. LAPACK can handle dense and banded matrices, but not general sparse matrices. Similar functionality is provided for real and complex matrices in both single and double precision. LAPACK is coded in Fortran90 and built with gcc.

lame-mp3x-3.100-9.lbn25.x86_64: This package contains the mp3x frame analyzer.

lame-3.100-9.lbn25.x86_64: LAME is an open source MP3 encoder whose quality and speed matches commercial encoders. LAME handles MPEG1,2 and 2.5 layer III encoding with both constant and variable bitrates.

ladspa-1.13-25.lbn25.x86_64: There is a large number of synthesis packages in use or development on the Linux platform at this time. The Linux Audio Developer's Simple Plugin API (LADSPA) attempts to give programmers the ability to write simple `plugin' audio processors in C/C++ and link them dynamically against a range of host applications. This package contains the example plug-ins and tools from the LADSPA SDK.
